1 Dead In South Brunswick Crash: Prosecutor

A passenger in a vehicle that was escaping a crime scene was found dead after the vehicle crashed in South Brunswick Township, authorities say.

The fatal crash occurred around 4:30 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 22 on Beekman Road at the intersection near Old Beekman Road, according to the Middlesex County Prosecutor's office.

Investigation revealed that the rear passenger of a Dodge Charger was found dead after the Charger, which was leaving the scene of a crime, crashed into three vehicles unrelated to the crime. 

Additional suspects inside of the Charger got out of the vehicle and fled on foot after the crash. The occupants of the other vehicles involved were transported to local hospitals to receive treatment for their injuries. 

The suspects have yet to be apprehended and the identity of the victim is currently being held until family is notified. 

The investigation is active and continuing. Authorities are seeking the public’s assistance in locating a dark colored sedan that was in the area at the time of the crash.
